Head to the wine region of Armenia and explore Areni Wine cave where Ancient Armenians produced wine 6,000 years ago. After a delicious home cooked lunch with a local family in Artabuynk village, hike to Smbataberd Fortress.
Appreciate the breathtaking beauty of Yeghegis valley on the way down to the village of Yeghegis. Stroll around and marvel at the ancient churches and khachkars (cross-stones) scattered throughout the village. Spend the night in a tranquil resort in Hermon Village.
The next day head further south to Tatev, one of Armenia’s most iconic sites. Take the world’s longest reversible cableway boasting incredible views to reach Tatev Monastery and learn about how medieval Armenians ran universities.
At the end visit Karahunj, the most controversial site in Armenia, as many argue whether it is the Armenian Stonehenge.
