Following the spectacular route of the renowned Georgian Military Highway, visit the richly decorated Ananuri castle, set in a strategic yet stunning position offering fantastic views of the surrounding landscape.

Enjoy a delicious Georgian “supra” in Pasanauri at a local family restaurant and try your hand at making traditional Khinkali during a cooking demonstration. Pass through the popular ski resorts of Gudauri and the Jvari Cross Path, one of the highest points in the area. Forge new friendships at the colourful Friendship monument.

Enjoy the lush green Caucasus Mountain range, making stops on the way to take in the view. Embrace the natural beauty of the Kazbegi mountains (with an optional hike) from the village to reach the serene Gergeti Sameba.

Note: This tour involves an optional 2 hour steep hike (total time includes climbing & descending). The Hike is classified as Grade 2 hiking category from Stepantsminda to see the Gergeti Sameba Church. Not recommended for those who have fear of heights.  Those not wanting to hike will take a 4WD to same location. Tour will operate in winter months depending on weather conditions and can be combined with the Winter Embracing tour if group members wish to split into groups (for details of this option please enquire).

14:40 – 15:40 – Hike up to Gergeti
15:40 – 16:10 – Explore Gergeti Monastery
16:10 – 16:50 – Hike down
20:00 – Arrival in Tbilisi
